How
It WorksSound masking works by producing a unique, digital broadband sound
spectrum complimentary to the speech spectrum, that effectively covers speech
levels. Lencore's Spectra sound is called E-Sound®. This scientifically engineered
sound is amplified through special individual speakers installed above the dropped
ceiling, creating a uniform field of sound ensuring temporal and spatial uniformity. The
Lencore Spectra® Sound Masking System fills the ceiling plenum area with a
carefully tuned digital sound that filters down into
the office space below, with phasing, to unobtrusively raise the background sound
actually masks unwanted office noise, makes speech unintelligible, creates privacy,
and results in office environments that are acoustically comfortable to work in.
In addition, the Lencore system is tuned using an advanced diagnostic software
program called SPEC - the latest in sound masking technology.
Choosing
A Masking SystemAll sound masking systems are not created
equally. Under any condition, sound masking must perform two primary functions.
First, it must provide speech privacy; and second, it must enhance acoustical
comfort without causing a distraction. While some companies tout their system's
controls, Lencore knows that the most important criteria for evaluating any sound
masking system are the sound it creates and the sound
you will hear. No other sound masking system can match
Lencore's scientifically engineered sound. In side-by-side working tests. Lencore
is chosen an overwhelming 99% of the time. That's sound quality you can depend
on. Our competitors may mask speech; however, their sound may be uncomfortable
to listen to. Make sure when choosing a sound masking system that you experience
the sound quality you will be listening to, as this is the most important feature
of any sound masking system. Consider this when comparing costs to makesure you
choose the right masking system for your facilty. |
